A Complete Revelation

In this total renovation, a 1980's home for two required a facelift to become a modern home capable of accommodating a large family with ever changing needs.  The project required extensive thought and close consultations with the framers and contractors. As it constantly evolved, uncovered potential revealed itself continuously.  While adhering to a strict budget, every inch and each corresponding decision became a labor of painstaking love, and the result, a home of character that basks both in the light of its individuality and its southern-facing windows, embodies all that I hope a home can become. 

Coastal Style with the Family Signature

Initially an unfinished basement utilized primarily for storage purposes, this project sought to open the entire home by creating a dynamic space equally suited for hosting social gatherings and watching movies on a cozy night-in.   In a joint effort with contractors, each aspect of the room -- lighting, plumbing, heating, flooring, etc -- was revitalized, and the room, previously avoided, became the desired space to share with family, friends, and loved ones.

The Finishing Touches

Tasked with finding the best furniture for the space and adding personal flair to this gorgeous room, I took pleasure in placing the cherry on top.  Together, the owner and I made her visualization at the onset of the project reality.  Now, the room is ideal for both Super Bowl viewing parties, and the casual dinner parties that can quickly become a night full of dancing.  An acute attention to details allowed the space to become emblematic of the owner's tastes and lifestyle.
